PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) Credential provides recognition of an individual's ability to meet specified standards in the field of project management. The certification process involves meeting minimum education/experience criteria, an examination, and a comprehensive review of the candidate's qualifications in the areas of education and professional experience. The PMP Credential Handbook defines the certification process and candidates are encouraged to obtain the brochure and become familiar with the process prior to enrolling in the review seminar.

To help you pass this examination successfully, the PMI Coastal Bend chapter offers PMP Exam Preparation courses. The objective of the course is to assist the candidate in preparing for the certification exam. The exam covers the knowledge areas defined in PMI's Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). The course is intended to provide a framework to prepare for the PMP certification exam and is not an introductory course in project management. Candidates should have some experience in project management prior to attending the course.

All students will receive a copy of Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam Prep study guide and related reference material needed to complete the class and pass the exam. Please note that the PMBOK is not included in the cost of the class, as all PMI members receive a copy upon becoming a member. This is not an accelerated or advanced exam prep class. This class is structured as review of the information that students must know to pass the exam. Students should be prepared to devote significant time outside of class preparing for the exam.

The seminar consists of eleven evening sessions. Each session lasts from 5:45 PM to 9:00 PM. Registration is not confirmed until payment has been received in full. The first 30 people to pay in full will be confirmed for the class. Cost ranges from $425 - $525 depending on your affiliation with the PMI Coastal Bend Chapter.  Please feel free to view the next scheduled sessions.
